Are you guys ready for some more new music from Miley Cyrus?!
After releasing her track “Ashtrays and Heartbreak” with Snoop Lion, the singer teased that shejust might have a new single to share with the world during Sunday’s Billboard Music Awards—and that’s exactly what’s happening.
Cyrus took to Twitter tonight and revealed that the title of her new song is “We Can’t Stop.”
“Cats outta the bag! LETS TREND MY 1st SINGLE #wecantstop,” she wrote. And Miley got just that.
“#WeCantStop is the NUMBER ONE trending topic worldwide!,” Cyrus tweeted less than 10 minutes later. “Retweet if you can’t wait till I release #wecantstop @MikeWiLLMadeIt…We can’t stop TRENDING #wecantstop.”
Although the title is now out in the open, it looks like Miley still has plans to surprise fans on Sunday: “Big announcement about #wecantstop coming @billboard.”
Could it be a performance?!

Miley Cyrus may be making a huge departure from her past in terms of her style and sound, but one thing remains: Her BFFship with fellow musician spawn-cum-celeb Kelly Osbourne. Ozzy‘s little girl revealed some details about Cyrus’ mysterious yet highly hyped upcoming album that only a bestie would know.
“You’ll love it,” Osbourne gushed to Hollywood Life. “It’s such a departure from everything you’ve ever seen from Miley before.” Osbourne also noted that Cyrus’ tumultuous relationship with Liam Hemsworth (which may very well be over, depending on who you ask) played a role in the transition to from child to mature star.
“It is the grown up Miley Cyrus,” Osbourne affirmed. “It takes a strong woman to step outside the boundaries and she has done it. I think you’ll like it.”
As for when we’ll get to hear any of it? Cyrus hinted at a new single — or at least an announcement of one — at the 2013 Billboard Music Awards next weekend, so sit tight!
Unintentional punk icon Miley Cyrus has been getting off on torturing her fans with the promise of new musicfor so long now, it feels like a few hip-hop collaborations of decent quality (see: Snoop Lion, will.i.am) are the best the world can possibly expect — but a respite from the misery might be coming very soon. Last night, Mileybird took to Twitter to continue trolling her followers (who she described as “THIRSTY,” quite accurately) and reiterate the promise of new music “coming soon.”
Here’s the new wrinkle: She said that we may find out “a LIL sum” at the Billboard Music Awards — like a new single.
Examine the receipts:
“Just turned on POP2K on satellite and there was C U AGAIN! Dayummm y’all THIRSTY for some new music! Coming soon! I promise! Stay tuned”
When Miley Cyrus was on her European Tour, she rented a London apartment across the road from Harrods. She says it was haunted.
Over to Miley…
‘I was touring in Europe and I needed a home base. So if we were to go to Ireland I would just come right back. I used to have an apartment in London, right across the street from Harrods. I used to have a place right there, and it was really haunted and I had to move. That’s not a lie.
‘It was seriously so terrifying. It used to be an old bakery and they turned it into an apartment building, and I was having really crazy dreams and really scary things, and one night my little sister – it sounds crazy to tell you – but she was standing in the shower and all of a sudden I hear her scream. I run in there and the water had somehow flipped to hot but it was still… It wasn’t like the water had just changed, the knob had turned but she hadn’t turned it and it was burning her. She was really red.
‘Before I felt this, I thought I had seen a little boy sitting on the sink watching me take a shower so I felt really freaked out. I was sitting there the next night and maybe I’m crazy, but I could have sworn I could see this little boy sitting there on the sink, kicking his feet.
‘My mom was getting mad that we were looking into it because she thought it was going to scare Noah [Miley's younger sister], so then my aunt – who we hadn’t told about this – comes in and she starts freaking out. She’s like, “I had no idea what happened but I left the apartment and I came back and all the doors and windows were open. I locked the apartment.” I’m like, “Tell my mom, she doesn’t believe that anything is happening in the apartment.”
‘So she told her and I’m like, “Mom, see – I’m not making this up.’ Three or four more things happened after that. I will never stay there ever again. Liam [Hemsworth, Miley's fiancé] had an experience, my mom had an experience, we all had these crazy experiences and it wasterrifying.
‘So then when we started looking into it, we found out that this guy and his son – this guy who owned the bakery, it was one of these where the dad owns it and the dad owns it – and there was this older man that owned it and his son lived with him there, and I guess the wife died or something, she had gotten sick. So it was just the son and the dad that lived there in the bakery, and then the dad died and the son took over the bakery, and I thought I was seeing the son. I’m not even kidding.’
…So they all moved out to the Soho Hotel.
Miley Cyrus has had one hell of a week hasn’t she? As well as showing more sideboob and bum cheek than we’d ever imagine possible on her ELLE UK and V Magazine covers, she’s now ended it off by announcing she’s won herself the No. 1 spot on Maxim’s 2013 Hot 100 list. Just casual, like.
The list of hot celebs is voted for by the mag’s readers and Miley was so pleased about the whole thing that she seems to have leaked the news – before Maxim had the chance to actually announce she’d won themselves.
“Didn’t know this was coming out yet! I’m so happy to be #1 on Maxims HOT 100! #myfanskickass #dreamsdocometrue,” she tweeted.
Wow Miley, don’t break a fingernail with all those deep and meaningful dreams of yours or anything.
Anyway, pipping last year’s winner, Bar Rafaeli, to the top of the list, she’s celebrated by appearing in the mag wearing a gold cut-out swimsuit. It’s not quite stuffing four packets of Malteasers in your gob like we usually do when we’re celebrating our ‘dreams’ coming true, but whatever floats your boat.
